2. SEO & Keyword Optimization

  • Keyword Research: Base your post on a target keyword relevant to the topic. Use tools like Google Keyword Planner or Ahrefs.
  • Keyword Placement: Use the target keyword in the title, first 100 words, and at least once in one or more subheadings.
  • Natural Keyword Usage: Avoid keyword stuffing. Keywords should appear naturally within the content.
  • LSI Keywords: Include related terms or synonyms to provide context for search engines.

3. Title & Meta Description

  • Engaging Title: Create a compelling, clear title that includes the primary keyword, is under 60 characters, and accurately represents the content.
  • Meta Description: Provide a 150-160 character meta description with the target keyword that summarizes the post’s main idea and encourages clicks.

4. Headers & Formatting

  • Header Structure: Use H2, H3, and H4 tags to structure the article logically. Include the primary keyword in at least one H2.
  • Paragraph Length: Keep paragraphs short (2-3 sentences) for readability.
  • Bullet Points & Lists: Use bullet points and lists where applicable to improve readability and engagement.
  • Avoid Passive Voice: Write in active voice to maintain clarity and directness.

5. Internal & External Linking

  • Internal Links: Link to at least 1-2 relevant articles on the site to keep readers engaged within our content.
  • External Links: Include 1-2 links to reputable, authoritative sources that provide additional context.
  • No Promotional Links: Avoid including affiliate or promotional links within the body of the content.
  • Outbound Link Quality: Ensure that external links are relevant, trustworthy, and add value for readers.

6. Images & Media

  • Image Quality: Any images should be high-quality, relevant, and comply with copyright rules.
  • Alt Text for Images: Include descriptive alt text for each image to aid accessibility and help search engines understand the content.
  • Commercial Use Licensing: Use images with commercial use rights.

7. Readability & Engagement

  • Readable Language: Aim for a readability level suitable for a global audience (avoid overly technical jargon).
  • Engaging Tone: Write in an engaging, conversational tone that’s informative but approachable.
  • CTAs: Where appropriate, encourage readers to take action, such as commenting or sharing, without appearing overly promotional.

8. Technical SEO Elements

  • URL Structure: Ensure the URL is clean and relevant to the content, ideally using the primary keyword and avoiding unnecessary words.
  • Avoid Duplicate Content: Do not submit content that is or will be published elsewhere, as duplicate content can harm SEO.
  • No Cloaking or Manipulative Practices: Content should be transparent and not use cloaking or other manipulative tactics.
  • Code Restrictions: Do not insert JavaScript or any code beyond standard post HTML without prior consent.

9. Avoid Spammy Practices

  • No Keyword Stuffing: Do not overuse the target keyword, as this can lead to search engine penalties.
  • No Black Hat SEO: Adhere to ethical SEO practices; any attempt at manipulative tactics (e.g., hidden text, link schemes) will lead to rejection.

10. Editorial Rights & Compliance

  • Editing: Pulling Rabbits reserves the right to edit submissions to meet SEO, editorial, or stylistic standards.
  • Content Ownership: Once published, the content becomes the property of Pulling Rabbits.
  • Compliance with Policies: Ensure your post adheres to our Acceptable Use Policy and aligns with Pulling Rabbits’ ethical standards.

Editorial Review Processes

Our editorial review process consists of three key phases:

  1. Initial 24-Hour Review: This quick review focuses on content quality and compliance. Borderline cases are escalated to senior editors for approval.
  2. Automated Link Check: Our system scans outbound links to ensure they continue to meet various requirements, with senior editors spot-checking items for accuracy.
  3. User Feedback: Customers and users can flag content they find inappropriate. Each flagged item is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
